Katoomba Falls Night-Lit Walk
The Katoomba Falls Night-Lit Walk offers an easy way to experience the escarpment after dark, with a gentle loop that follows the forest edge and reveals key viewpoints along the way. Subtle lighting traces the path and highlights the natural features that define this part of the Blue Mountains, creating a calm and engaging evening walk for visitors of all ages.

The 1.5 km walk gives visitors a unique nighttime viewing experience of outstanding natural features such as Orphan Rock, Witches Leap, Katoomba Falls and Katoomba Cascades. At certain vantage points — day or night — you can also see Three Sisters.
Information
The Katoomba Falls Night-Lit Walk follows a 1.5-kilometre loop that gently traces the escarpment after dark, offering views of Orphan Rock, Witches Leap, Katoomba Falls and the Cascades. Soft lighting guides the path and highlights key rock formations, creating a calm and atmospheric way to experience the landscape. The lights switch on at dusk each evening and turn off at 11.00, with floodlights dimming from 10.30. Entry is free, and the walk is suitable for visitors of all ages.

Directions
Start at the top of the Katoomba Falls kiosk car park (or alternate official entry), then follow the lit trail down across Reid’s Plateau toward the Cascades/Lookouts. At certain points, you may view Orphan Rock, Witches Leap, Katoomba Falls, Katoomba Cascades — and in clear conditions, The Three Sisters in the distance. Lighting along the escarpment helps guide the route.
