There are a number of special locations within our Estate that offer the perfect backdrop for your dream ceremony. Each space has its own unique atmosphere and mood, and caters to all wedding visions, sizes, and styles. With Circa Garden ceremonies including elegant white pews, and Tiffany chairs available to line the aisle at the Convent Fountain, each ceremony space on the estate is complete with a signing table and chairs, and alternate wet weather plan.

Alongside stunning ceremony spots, The Convent estate boasts a number of breathtaking reception spaces that are suited to all types of celebrations. Whether the circle you choose to share your day with is intimate or extended, our enchanting reception locations offer the perfect backdrop for your dream event.

A short stroll down the tree-lined driveway is Circa 1876 — Hunter Valley’s most iconic restaurant. Located in a historic cottage, Circa 1876 boasts elegant chandeliers, exposed wooden beams, and rustic décor, making this space magnificent with or without elaborate styling. Complemented by the eclectic charm of the adjoining Champagne Lounge, with its open fireplace, this space is a perfect option for a wide range of reception styles.

The perfect option for intimate gatherings and smaller weddings, the Circa 1876 Alfresco space delivers impressive views of the sprawling vineyards and lush kitchen gardens. Enclosed to ensure comfort regardless of the season, this magical reception location is perfect as is — however also provides the perfect base for styling.

Restaurant Eighty Eight is located inside the iconic Convent and opens up into our Wisteria Courtyard.

The restaurant name is taken from the street address of Convent, and as it is such an auspicious number, it has been melded firmly into the title. Double eights symbolize infinite prosperity and happy relationships — which bodes well for a restaurant set in the heart of a hotel that is the scene for so many marriage proposals and nuptials.
