Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their accessibility needs, can enjoy a memorable experience at our retreat. Below, we outline the various accessibility features and services available to assist you in planning your stay.
Our accessible rooms are carefully crafted to provide ease of movement and convenience.
We offer two dedicated accessible rooms equipped with the following features to ensure comfort and ease of use for all guests:
- Wider doorways: Facilitates easy movement of wheelchairs and walkers.
- Roll-in showers: Spacious showers with no step entry and grab bars for support.
- Grab bars: Strategically placed along the bathroom walls, around the toilet, and in the shower.
- Ground floor access & service elevator: Available for easy entry to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
- Lower closet shelving: Designed to be easily reachable, providing convenient access for individuals with mobility or height limitations.

Accessibility in public areas
- Main building: We have wheelchair access to ground floor rooms and mid-floor guest areas (lounge, dining, and veranda), all via a chair lift from the ground floor reception area. However, please note that the chair lift is not suitable for larger electric wheelchairs and there is no access to the rooftop bar. The courtyard can also be reached from the street entrance.
- Balfour Suites: Entry to the first floor is accessible through the service elevator on the ground floor car park.
FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLETS
Access to our restaurant, The Balfour Kitchen & Bar, is available through the ground floor reception area using the chair lift. Access to the lounge and the terrace is also on the same floor.
ASSISTANCE DOGS
We welcome assistance dogs and ensure that they have the necessary accommodations to stay comfortably with their owners.
Service and culture
We place great emphasis on training our staff in accessibility awareness and inclusive service. Our team members receive onboarding and training to ensure they are knowledgeable about accessibility requirements and are ready to assist guests with any special needs or requests.
